Forage – Forfeit
I’m back in Montréal, keeping a low radio profile, working on some productions but primarily some other big projects. I don’t expect to be DJing as much this season as those gain momentum. Full details over on my blog/homepage. I do have a lil gig for a friend’s art show at the end of the month. The super talented Jodi Sharp. If you’re in Montreal: My Body is a Battlefield- Sculpture by Jodi Sharp
Anyways, I still love this tune: http://ift.tt/2motys5
A cool fact is that the textural production is sampled from my family’s forest reserve in Alberta. I used the sounds of Cow Parsnips (Haracleum maximum) breaking, and hitting, and striking. They’re hollow, so they make pretty cool tom noises.
I’m mentioning my sound design process because I sampled my Grandmother’s weaving action for future uses. Something that I have been wanting to do for ages. It’s likely that’ll make it into my next North Of Nowhere Records release.
